COMM 635: Technology-mediated Communication
(hybrid delivery -- currently being designed and developed for Fall '06) |
This course will provide students with an opportunity to investigate how current and emerging technologies are shaping organizational, educational and social communication. Students will evaluate new media technologies and current trends and issues related to technology-mediated communication as they apply to a variety of professional contexts. Students will utilize models of instructional design and learning theories to design effective technology-based communication materials. |
| EDET 620: Educational Technology: Applications, Applied Research and Integration |
This course addresses the instructional integration of technology and is closely aligned both with Virginia and national standards for technology. In addition to providing opportunities to enhance technology skills, the course offers a forum for discussing research and practice involving instructional technology implementation and integration in classrooms and educational settings. |
| EDET 445: Integration of Educational Technology |
This course serves to instruct students in the integration of educational technology in PK-12 classrooms. A major goal of the course is to enhance the ability of teacher candidates to be proficient decision-makers in the selection, utilization, and integration of technology to enhance classroom learning. Course objectives, assignments, and assessment procedures are generated from and integrated with concurrent methods courses and clinical experiences. |
